The Hakka Yong Tau Foo 客家酿豆腐 .......... Authentic Hakka? I don't care. It taste good.

The Hakka Yong Tau Foo is a popular Yong Tau Foo stall in the Ghim Moh Road Food Centre. It is especially crowded during lunch time. Grab their popular Fish Meat Tofu or Towkwa among the many food items. The aunty and uncle will be inside the stall preparing the food for you. The helper will be the one that pass you the queue number.

After choosing your food items,  get your queue number. Show your number when your number is shouted out ..........

My bowl of dried Yong Tau Foo with bee hoon. This bowl you see is S$3.50 .........

It comes with a bowl of soup. The non fried food items like fish ball or vegetable will be served in your soup ..........

Go take your queue number and go try it out!

Cost : abt S$ 4~5 depends on how much you order

Address :Blk 20, Ghim Moh Road Food Centre, #01-14

Country : Singapore

Hey have you tried the Hakka YTF at Clementi Central? It's even nicer than Ghim Moh's! I like the soup coz it's very flavorful and tasty. Was reminded coz I just had it yesterday. :)

In Clementi Central? Is it in the food centre or one of the coffee shops? Must go and try.

It's in the food centre, near the other end where old A&W used to be, just behind the famous Fong's curry puff. But it only starts business at 12+pm and not opened on Sundays. The queue's always very long!

Finally got to eat at Chen Ji. Long Queue indeed. Personal preference ........ I prefer this Ghim Moh one more.

I prefer Ghim Moh's as they use minced pork on some Yong Tau Foo. Authentic Hakka food. Can't find it elsewhere.

The Clementi stall's lady has bad attitude. I ordered 7 pieces to take away uncooked. She refused to give a packet of soup, saying that a minimum of 8 pieces was required to get the soup.

On the other hand, if you order 6 pieces ( their minimum order as advertised) with rice or noodles to eat at the stall, it is alright.

Also the pork has a slight porky taste so you definitely need to dip the pieces into the sauce.

Didn't get the same experience at Chen Ji but we've heard worst attitudes at hawker centres isn't it? Some broke out into fights over chili? Chill man! :)
