Lau Goh's Fried Carrot Cake was one of the stalls in the Riverside Food Centre (at Zion Road) that has been in business at the same place for many years now. I like him frying my carrot cake with that extra eggy crisp and that generous amount of white pepper sprinkled over the spring onion garnishing. Lau Goh is not new to media coverage and still read lips like he used to do (he cannot hear you but he can read your lips). However, there wasn't a queue like it used to be even though I thought his standard is still there. It may be the price tag for his plate of fried carrot cake at minimum S$3.50. Nevertheless, I still thought his fried carrot cake as one of the best around.
